X com save game editor


















The alien containment editor will be next as all it takes is some renaming. Of course if you run into any bugs please let me know and I'll try my best to fix them up. It's still downloadable with the same name as 2. The big bug I fixed was with names having random extra characters, this was because of how X-Com's code works. I figured out how to remove this bug and did so. So now Soldiers, Bases and Save game names should have no extra characters. Hope you like it.

It actually seems like it's been much longer. I attribute this delay to my other project still X-Com related however. I want this thing to get full so if anyone has any more info than I do, I'd like to hear about it. Version 2. Scott helped me on this one and I must say thank you. Now it's windows format. I also added base numbers to the soldier and craft editors so you can see what base each is in.

It's a little harder to use since it's keyboard-based, but has a ton of neat functions. With this program, you can regain control your brainsucked units. After a guy has been brainsucked, save the game in the battle. Then, open this editor. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move down to "Edit Savedgames" and press enter.

Then mouse to the game with the brainsucked unit and press enter and choose "Edit Battlescape" and then "Units. The ones in red are units under alien control. Gray names are agents, scientists, and engineers not in this battle.

Marcel is brainsucked. To bring him back to our side, we have to change some values. Move down to the brainsucked unit and press the right arrow key and the cursor will go to the right menu. First, move down to "Side" and press enter. Then press 0 to reassign him to X-COM. Then go to "AI Control" and press enter until it goes to "None. When done, press "S" to save changes, then exit apoc'd keep pressing the Esc key and load the game.
