End-of-Year Reporting Program coordinators are required to provide confirmation in CORE that all program requirements have or have not been completed at the end of each school year.

RESA benefits: Resident Educators analyze and reflect on their teaching, which is critical to continuously improving as an educator. Resident Educators have the ability to choose their best practice to submit as evidence. Resident Educators receive score reports that provide comprehensive feedback on their submission from an objective assessor who is an experienced Ohio educator and has completed extensive training.

Resident Educators have time to use the comprehensive feedback to work with their mentors and improve their practice before the end of the school year.

Overview of the Ohio RESA In the first two years of the Resident Educator Program, Resident Educators with the support of mentors have systematically and continually engaged in inquiry and reflection as they progressed through the Teaching and Learning Cycle.

Each local program should have established policies and procedures that provide guidance regarding the activities to be completed during the mentoring years of the program.

Resident educators and mentors should follow the directions provided by the local program coordinator to know what specific requirements are necessary in their district.
